Essential Qualification

I. 10+2 (Senior Secondary) pass from a recognized board/institutions.

II. Standard of Physical Measurement - Height: 170 cm (relaxable by 5 cms for candidates belonging to Gorkhas/ Garhwali/Dogras and Scheduled Tribe candidates) Chest: Normal 81 - 85 cms and expandable by 5 cms (relaxable by 5 cms for candidates belonging to Gorkhas / Garhwali / Dogras and Scheduled Tribe candidates)

NOTE-1: a. No relaxation permissible for physical standard. b. It is clarified by user department vide their letter no. 373 dated 15.01.2025 that the Lower limit of unexpanded chest is 81 cms with a minimum expansion of 5 cms. i.e. if unexpended chest of any candidate is 81 cms, his expanded chest must be 86 cms (81+5) cms and if unexpended chest of any candidate is 85 cms, his expended chest must be 90 cms (85+5) cms. Minimum expansion of 5 cms is mandatory. There is no upper limit for measurement of chest. c. The minimum chest measurement is relaxable by 5 cms for belonging to Gorkhas/ Garhwali/ Dogras and Scheduled Tribe candidates. Minimum expansion of 5 cms is also mandatory for above-mentioned candidates.

III. Medical Standard – a. Vision 6/6 without glass both eyes, free from colour blindness. b. The candidates must not have bow-legged, knock-knees, flat-feet varicose vein or squint in eyes and they should possess high colour vision. c. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect which is likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

Note :- During PET, a check will also made for any defect or deformity (including bow-legged, knock-knees, flat-feet etc.) which would render candidate ineligible for recruitment.

IV. (A) Physical Endurance Test (PET) – a. 1600 meters race in 06 (six) minutes.

NOTE-2: Those who qualify in the race shall be further eligible to appear in the following tests: b. 13 (thirteen) feet long jump (qualifying in 3 chances) c. 3'9" (three feet nine inches) High Jump (qualifying in 3 chances) NOTE-3: There would be no appeal against the physical endurance test. (B) Physical Endurance Test (PET) for Ex-Servicemen –

a. Race of 1600 meters :- AGE WISE TIME Upto 31 years 6 Minutes From 31 – 40 years 7 Minutes From 40 & above 8 Minutes

b. Long Jump :- Age Wise (Qualifying in 3 chances) Upto 31 years – 13 feet From 31 – 40 years – 12 feet From 40 & above – 11 feet

c. High Jump :- Age Wise (Qualifying in 3 chances) Upto 31 years – 3’9” From 31 – 40 years – 3’6” From 40 & above – 3’3”

NOTE 4 :- There would be no appeal against the PET.
